Joanna Parker is an accredited, experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a Community Education Specialist. Her approach to counselling and therapy is unique as she draws upon a rich array of therapeutic approaches to arrive at the best fit for the individuals and groups coming to her for help and support. She holds a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from JF Kennedy University (California, USA). Her training spans Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Object Relations, Art and Sandtray Therapy and Jungian Psychotherapy from her years in California. She also acquired training in Functional Family Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and MTP Trauma Therapy (Multi-Sensory Trauma Processing) in Ireland.
She has been accredited with IACP (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) for over 10 years and abides by its Code of Ethics and the Guidelines of Children First.
Alongside her practice, Joanna has developed and facilitated an array of courses and workshops designed to further personal growth that are both in-depth and practical. She is also a tutor for VEC (etb) Community Education courses.
Joanna is dedicated to providing caring, non-judgmental and professional help through her counselling and her courses and workshops. Her aim is to foster personal growth by assisting people in their endeavour to work through and free themselves from the hold that problems and concerns have on them.

We are located in the lovely Teach Dara Community & Family Center in Kildare Town, across from St Josephs Academy.
It is just up the street from St. Brigids Church, and two blocks from the main street.
Parking is available on the grounds and adjoining street. See map... We are also located in Maynooth and Portlaoise in town and with ample free parking.
